Canceling a mobile contract within 7 days? What are my rights?

I signed up for a contract on the 8/3/08, with a company called JAG communications. I did it in their store, and because i had no ID with me they said i could collect and finalise on 10/3/08. When i got home on the 8th i found a much better deal, and phoned the company to cancel my contract. They keep passing me from pillow to post, and i have contacted orange. (who the contract is with) and they say that the company need to canel it as if orange cancel it then the company still gets commssion.
Does anyone know what rights i have? The company has connected my phone WITHOUT my identification, and i haven't
